Italian-American Heritage Month

Did you know that October is Italian-American Heritage Month?  Well thanks to the observation of Columbus day (Cristoforo Colombo was an Italian from Genoa, Italia) and other contributions by famous Italian-Americans, this month has become a time to celebrate the Italian culture that has been brought to the United States.

Many influential people in the United States can credit their heritage as Italian-American, and they are very proud of their roots, but there are some people that you would be surprised to learn of their Italian roots.  Italian 4 students picked a famous Italian-American and did some research on the person and tried to find their ties to Italy.  It is very interesting to see who in their family immigrated to the United States and for what reasons.

Here are the projects completed by level 4.  If you need any translation work, please let me know 🙂
